Alvaro's 18th Birthday outside Zouk. Accompanied by Travis, Justin, Donghui and Edwin.   There would come a point of time in life when we would feel like lost sheep and have no aims. Though we might already have set big goals and targets but things might not have been going well and we easily gave up. Sometimes, the goals we set don't seem to be that attractive and appealing anymore. However, we forget what was the real purpose of setting a goal from the start. The purpose of goals is to give us direction, give us motivation so that there would be something for us to work towards. When our current goals do not give us enough motivation... When our  planned paths get diverted and we can't just go straight ahead... We feel tired and take the easy way out; We stop there and give ourselves the excuse to not move. Growth

How long has it been since I last updated this blog? I honestly can't remember. Back then, Blogging was the most popular thing that teenagers do to express themselves. Remembering the late nights when I could not sleep, I had so much to say, yet no one was there to listen. Hence the long blog posts of the classical "late night thoughts". For myself, this was once the way I reflected upon the events of my life, the way I longed to be heard. As time goes by, we have all grown old. But have we grown up? Is today's version of us better than who we were before? If not, why not? We all crave for progress. Yet sometimes, we remain too comfortable to move forward. A rant on work.

It has always been a usual practice for students to be working during the school holidays to earn some extra bucks. During working, we experienced that money is hard to earn. The pay we received the entire day is about an hour's pay of an average adults which feels really pathetic. Anyway, I just received a call from work telling me that my shift has been changed to 8am this Friday's morning which means it will be another day of working 17 hours at least again. Well, more hours mean more pay right? The only form of motivation of working; Money. Indeed, working for just the money sounds really stupid. The money I have earned from working this holiday will be spent on my car license after my 18th birthday which is coming less than 20 days. I am really looking forward to it. Lessons will resume next week and I'm making use of this week to earn as much money as I can.
